If we have worked with me in some way, please review the information below and complete the registration form as accurately and completely as possible.

Contracted vs. Non-Contracted / Collaboration

The information below outlines my typical approach to editing, delivering, and sharing images in the absence of any signed contracts, and the information you provide through the registration form below will guide my image usage and attribution.

If we do have signed contracts in place, please refer to those contracts for details about the specific shoots to which those contracts pertain. Contracts will always supersede your registration information for those specific shoots, but I will use your registration information for any non-contracted shoots.

Accessing & Sharing Your Images

Accessing Images

To access your images, log in and visit the Client Galleries page. You should find your image collections there and should be able to do the following:

  • View individual images
  • Download individual images
  • Download the entire gallery
  • Add images to your Favorites
  • Add comments to individual images

Notes on Image Usage & Restrictions

You should be aware that, under copyright law, the photographer’s usage rights for images they create are fairly extensive, even without a model release. However, my rights to an image do not mean more to me than making sure the people I work with are happy with how I use them. That’s why I provide multiple ways for you to indicate your preferences, including:

  • Setting your general preferences through the Registration Form below
  • Updating your preferences by logging into your account and making the desired changes
  • Changing preferences on specific images by leaving comments on those images

In general, this is how I would like to use the images we create:

  • Adding to my portfolio on this site, which has both public and “members-only” galleries
  • Posting on social media sites, including Instagram and/or Fetlife
  • Publication or submission to competitions, charity events, etc.

However, I will abide by the limitations you set.

You can assume that you have “in kind” permission to share or post any images that you approve, and you are free to use them to:

  • Share online (through your website, social media, etc.)
  • Promote your work (through portfolios, competition entries, etc.)
  • Use for paid-only access sites (Patreon, OnlyFans, etc.)
What does 'in kind' mean?
“In kind” means that you are abiding by the same permissions and restrictions you set for others. For example: if you indicate that I cannot share images with your face visible, you should also only publicly post images that I deliver that do not reveal your face, though of course you can enjoy and share those images privately. This provision is mainly relevant to TFP (trade for print/photo) work. In the past, some models have wanted to use the images we created for paid services while also restricting my use of those images. If one party can use the images and the other cannot, that is not a “trade.” If you would like for me to create images for you that only you have permission to use, then you can hire me, and we can make those stipulations in our contract.

Making Changes to Credit Information or Usage Restrictions

If you need to review or change the information and preferences you set during registration, login and visit the Profile Details page. From there, you can make changes as necessary. While I do check the information here before publishing or sharing work, it’s also a good idea to message me if the changes you make are significant.

Please Note: In addition to the general guidelines you provide about sharing and attribution through registration, you can also make specific requests on a per-image basis by leaving a comment on the image. For example, perhaps you gave blanket permission for me to post images with full nudity, but you’re not comfortable with sharing one particular image from a shoot. Leave a comment on that image asking me not to post that one (or to make specific changes before posting), and I’ll follow that request. I recommend messaging me to make sure I see the comment, but having the comment on the site will also serve as a reminder for the future.

My Preference for Credit

Please attribute photography and/or rope to me as appropriate and also credit anyone else who contributed to the image (rope, assistance, makeup, props, etc.). If you have questions about credit for others who were involved in an image’s creation, just message me, and I’ll be happy to help.

I prefer the following options for credit:

  • Print: Ma’iitsoh Yazhi or Ma’iitsoh Yazhi Photography and/or maiitsohyazhi.com
  • Generic Online: maiitsohyazhi.com
  • Instagram / Fetlife: @maiitsohyazhi

Completing the Registration Form

Below is an explanation of the various registration fields.

  • Preferred Name – The name I’d call you in person. This is just to help me recognize your account more easily regardless of username.
  • Roles – This just helps me to make sure I attribute you correctly based on the role(s) you played in the shoot.
  • Credit – This lets me know how you prefer to be credited when I share images. You should indicate if you have different preferences for different platforms. For example:
    • Print: Ma’iitsoh Yazhi or Ma’iitsoh Yazhi Photography
    • Generic Online: maiitsohyazhi.com
    • Instagram / Fetlife: @maiitsohyazhi
  • Website / Link (optional) – If you have an official website (appropriate for the type of work we created) or if you have a link hub of some type (Linktree, Beacons, etc.), let me know so that I can include that in my attributions.
  • Social Media Accounts (optional) – Let me know which social media accounts you would like me to attribute or tag and your username for each. You can also include direct links to your profile if that’s easier.
  • Publishing Limitations – If you would prefer that I not post images of our work on certain platforms, please let me know here and in the comments. The main platforms I typically use include:
    • My website (this site)
    • Instagram
    • Fetlife
    • Patreon
    • Occasional submissions to print or online magazines
    • Occasional submissions to charity auctions, fundraisers, and the like
  • Content Limitations – If you would prefer that I not post certain images based on their content, please let me know here and in the comments. Some general categories of examples include:
    • Face: no identifiable facial features; partial face is OK but not full face; etc.
    • Nudity: implied nudity OK but no actual nudity; nude chest is OK but not full nudity; full nudity OK but no clear images of genitalia; etc.
    • Identifying Marks: remove visible moles or birthmarks; remove tattoo (may not be possible depending on size and location); etc.
  • Comments: Publishing or Content Limitations, Editing Requests, etc. – Please indicate details for any publishing or content limitations, any particular requests related to editing, and anything else you would like me to know or consider about the images we created together.
