I apologize that updates here have been less frequent lately, but the reason has been a happy one: we are expecting a child very soon, and preparation for that has taken most of my free time lately.
I feel like my ability to create new images of the type I typically post here has taken a serious hit since the start of COVID and has never really recovered. I did fewer shoots in 2020 than I did in 2019, and fewer still in 2021, and only two so far this year … both of those with my wife in celebration of the pregnancy.
I certainly miss shooting. And more than the shoots themselves, I miss working with many of the people I’ve shot with in the past, and I miss the opportunity to meet and work with new people that this art/hobby has regularly made possible.
That said, there’s not much I could or would change (except for somehow making COVID never happen) … I’m very excited about where life is heading, and I love the time I’ve spent preparing for that new future.
As for this site, I still have a LOT of old content to add, and I believe I’ll have the time to get back to adding that content soon.
I also do hope that I’ll be able to shoot again more regularly starting this summer. Probably never as frequently as I could before, but hopefully still a shoot or two each month.
If you’ve been following along here, I really appreciate the support, and I hope you’ll continue to follow even if the offerings are fewer and farther between.
